Jen has been a stylist in the greater Twin Cities area since 2002, and has been teaching Curly Hair Education since 2012. Jen is passionate about salons being able to serve their entire community, which is why she is excited to offer her knowledge and experience with fellow hairdressers in a thoughtful and digestible way. Her goal is for each stylist to be able to walk away knowing that they can tailor their existing haircutting skills to any person who walks through their door, regardless of their hair texture or curl pattern. 

An approachable introduction to curl cutting and styling with a strong focus on translating your precision fundamentals into curl-specific techniques. We’ll discuss the basics of cutting curls dry using precision-cutting foundations, including sectioning, shapes, cutting control, and simple considerations based on surface texture and pattern(s). We'll work through this info as well as brand agnostic styling product choices organically while Jen takes us through two haircuts on live models.
