Tell us about yourself!

Hi, I’m Lorin! I am an extroverted introvert and love the connections I make with people each day behind the chair. My time in the industry has given me several opportunities to advance in my skills with continuing education classes throughout the country. My attention to detail helps me create unique & personalized looks for each guest that sits in my chair. When I am not in the salon you can find me spending time with my loved ones, being outdoors, trying new restaurants, or binging my newest Netflix series. I am thrilled to join the Gem team!

What’s your experience?: I have over 9 years experience behind the chair!

What’s your specialty?: Lived in, dimensional color, grey blending, haircuts, & blowouts

Why do you love what you do?: I love connecting with my clients and helping them look & feel their best. I get to laugh at work each day, not everyone gets to say that!

How do you express yourself? : I feel most like myself when I’m surrounded by the people I love

How do you get out of a creative rut?: Music, continuing education, doing something out of my comfort zone, spending time outside

Where do you go in the Twin Cities to be inspired?: I always feel inspired when I’m immersed in the diversity the twin cities has to offer, whether that’s people watching at a new restaurant, going to a concert or comedy show, hanging out at one of the lakes, anywhere people are!

Most noteworthy era?: The 90s for sure!

What do you do for self-care?: Skin care, a long shower, cooking one of my favorite meals, spending time alone, taking a walk in nature.

Piece of advice for those struggling with self-confidence?: Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing, do what makes you feel the most like you.
