What’s your experience?
I’ve been behind the chair for 8 years. Practicing for 10 years now. Wow time does fly when you’re having fun! I took a slow start and was a assistant and I feel this really shaped my skills to start my hair career.
What’s your specialty?
I am a true hair generalist. I look forward to creating a looks completely custom that’s best for my guests life style and style experience! Generalist means I practice and take continuing education in most services! I was raised a colorist after assisting a balayage artist. But I’ve worked hard to sharpen my skills in scissor/ razor cutting and extensions! l even love perms and keratin treatments.
Why do you love what you do?
I love what I do because I feel it’s a good fit for my personality.I consider my self a people person. I always knew I’d work with my hands! I haven’t felt I was doing the wrong career yet! It actually still keeps getting better. Creativity plus making connections, it’s a dream job for me.
How do you express yourself?
I express myself through my new/thrifty sense of style. Being involved in lots of athletics/activities. I belong to vertical endeavors, play on a co Ed soft ball team and practice hot yoga to name a few of current faves.
How do you get out of a creative rut?
I get outside into nature. Visit a new place and making more time for cooking always helps.
Where do you go in the Twin Cities to be inspired?
The parks and lakes in the twin cities is one of its most notable inspirations for me! One favorite being lake Harriet.
Most noteworthy era?
1970s for the style and femininity it expressed.
What do you do for self-care?
Hot baths, face/HAIR masks, hot herbal tea & candles = instant refresh.
Piece of advice for those struggling with self-confidence?
Put your hand on your chest. Breathe in. Feel that? It I is your reminder that you have everything you need to get through life. What we choose to believe is everything. Believe that you’ve got this! Now let it go.
